Born in a time of war, and destined from birth to be Queen, Dagny was taught by many esteemed tutors. She excelled at all subjects taught to her, but philosophy and rhetoric were said to be her favourite. She readily engaged in lively debate with her teachers which led some of them to quit their positions.
